The large 'clunk' of a spotlight turning on resounds through the large Contest Hall. A lone trainer stands in the middle of the now partially lit stage. He is tall, a mysterious and dark figure, his face obscured by the shadow of the spotlight. The young man is dressed formally, in a tuxedo and a purple tie. His hair is neat, yet messy at the same time. He brings his hands, which had been politely folded behind his back, in front of him, and it is revealed he his holding two Pokéballs, each encased in a blue plastic bubble. Casually, he tosses them into the air,

"Alden, Elena! Grace us with your presence!"

He shouts to the arcing Pokéballs. At the tip of their arc, the two blue balls unhinge and a multitude of flashy lights are released. From one, sinewy white lines stream out, wrapping in a large ball before bursting to reveal a tall, handsome, blue colored, Gallade. He stands on the left end of the stage, and is also dressed in a tuxedo. From the other, golden music notes are expelled. They dance through the air as the second Pokémon takes shape. A flash of lace, a splash of sky blue, and a Gardevoir dressed in a gorgeous and elegant gown takes form on the other end of the stage. The lines and music notes that emerged from the Pokéballs dance around the stage for a bit before suddenly affixing themselves in a complicated array that can only be described, as a sheet of music. The trainer, who had until now been watching silently, slowly backs up, before placing one arm behind his back and withdrawing a Conductor's Baton with the other.

"Alden, Elena, Magical Leaf!"

He points the baton at each Pokémon in turn, and the respond accordingly. They face each other, eyes radiating a vibrant neon blue color, and rainbow colored leaves began to materialize from thin air. Without warning, the Magical Leaves shoot at the Pokémon, intent on hitting their mark. The audience lets out a resounding gasp; this wasn't meant to be a battle! The trainer smiles, he knows that all too well. So do the Pokémon, as the just stand there, eyes unwavering from their partners' waiting patiently for something to intervene, or for the attack to hit.

"Alden, Confusion! Elena, Psychic!"

The glowing eyes of the two Psychic-types seem to pulse brighter for a second, and the Magical Leaves, a mere centimeter from each of the Pokémon's faces freeze in place. The ones in control of Alden glow a faint blue, whereas the ones under Elena's control emit a faint pink light. Then, without being given a command they each stick out an arm. The Gallade, his right. The Gardevoir, her left, dress flaring out dramatically as she does so. The Magical leaves then proceed to zoom through the air, a blur of pink and blue lights shimmer through the stage and the audience 'Oohs' and 'Aahs' appropriately. The two Pokémon lower their arms, allowing their Magical Leaves to continue their frantic dance, and approach each other.

"Elena, Imprison!"

Now face to face, the Gardevoir sticks out her arm again, palm facing the crowd. In an instant, the Magical Leaves all stop, frozen in small Psychic bubbles. This would be rather boring, to be honest, had it not been for the fact that each bubble contains exactly one pink, and one blue Leaf. Of one were to look closely, they would notice that each leaf contains a small reflection of their owner, a proper display of the Synchronize Ability. The large music sheet still hangs in the air, and the Trainer now addresses it with his baton by moving it in the appropriate Waltz tempo. As if aware of the baton's movements, the notes begin bouncing, one by one in time with the tempo set by the skilled Trainer. As the notes bounce a beautiful Waltz begins to play, and the blue coloring fades from the eyes of the Psychic Pokémon. They smile at each other, and the Gallade offers his hand, and the Gardevoir readily accepts. The dance has begun.

As the duo begin their waltz, the Imprisoned Magical Leaves follow suit, bobbing and weaving in time with the music, seemingly mimicking every movement the Psychic couple makes. The duo is obviously skilled in the ways of dance, their feet move in perfect time and technique, the way Elena's gown flows giving the illusion of floating. The page of music comes to an end, and the notes seem to fade out, only to be replaced by a new set, page two. Alden and Elena don't miss a beat, never once stopping as they glide around the stage. Each Psychic bubble reflects their movements, and their image, creating a beautiful and shimmering display. The second page begins to near its end, and the audience is beginning to get bored. The Trainer expected this, and prepared accordingly. He smirks, and frantically gestures with his baton. The music sheet responds erratically, changing positions and tempos spastically. Suddenly the Spotlight turns red and spreads through the entire Contest Hall, bathing the entire area in a blood red glow. In time with the spotlight, the two stop. Frozen in place they stare at each other, smiles dancing across their face, eyes sparkling with anticipation as to what is to come. Finally the music sheet stops its erratic movements, and explodes. As the sparkling residue of the music sheet rains down on the stage, a modern remix of Habanera begins to play.

"Alden, Close Combat! Elena, Teleport!"

Elena suddenly removes herself from her partner, as he begins to punch frantically at her. The audience lets out another gasp, suddenly wide awake and interested to see what is to come. At first glance, it seems as if the Gallade is merely punching with rather bad aim at the Gardevoir, as each time he tries to make contact, she teleports away, the space around where she was shimmering faintly as the Gallade punches through it. It takes a moment for realization to come to most of the audience. They are moving in time with the music once again! Each punch, each dodge, flawlessly in time with the music. Slowly the music begins to pick up in tempo, and the Psychic duo's violent tango does the same. They move in a spiral, slowly reaching the outer limits of the stage where their Imprisoned Magical Leaves reside. Soon, the first Leaf pair as reached, and as Elena teleports away, Alden's punch makes full contact with the bubble, a glittery explosion erupting from the small orb. Then the next one is hit, and then the next, and the next, and the next. All in perfect time with the movement. As the duo makes their way around the stage, the music continues to gather speed, and as it does so, the bubbles begin to spiral back towards center stage. Finally, only one bubble on the bottom row remains, and it now stands dead center. The song hits a new beat and the bubble bursts. The music's chorus begins to play, the tempo now static,

"Elena, Psychic! Alden, Night Slash!"

With Psychic powers, the Gardevoir lifts the Gallade into the air, squeezing him into the orb that has been formed by the remaining Imprisoned Magical Leaves. Then, in perfect time with the final four notes of the song, he slashes out, arm-blades glowing with a dark, ominous power. Slash-slash, slash, slash. The music ends and a rain of multicolored glitter explodes from the now destroyed orbs.  As the Gallade is lowered, the Contest Hall erupts with applause, all of them standing up to give the couple a standing ovation. Alden sticks the landing and the two Psychic Pokémon grasp hands, taking their bow. A tribute to a truly wonderful performance.

Sitting alone, feet dangling over the lip of the open ceiling, a lone Pokémon sits, clapping furiously for the two. The performance had been beyond amazing, and this Pokémon certainly knew how to appreciate a good song and dance. The strange, unknown Pokémon stands, dropping a lone rose from the ceiling, allowing it to fall in front of the Psychic couple. Upon receiving the rose, the two look skyward, in search of where the flower may have come from. Their search ends in vain, however, as the Pokémon has already left to parts unknown.

I rather enjoyed this little story. :)

There are some grammatical errors that need fixed: mostly a few misspelled words.

The other thing is that your formatting needs a little work. I would recommend leaving a blank space after each time a spoken line appears. Like this:

"Here we go!"

"No way!"

As opposed to "Here we go!" "Now Way!" This will help break up the large blocks of text you have and make the story easier to read and keep your place in.

At any rate, I loved the way you described the Gardevoir and Gallade's performance. I found it very easy to imagine myself in the audience, observing the Psychic Pokemon in their one-of-a-kind dance. :) Excellent work! +1 to Favorites

Oh my, thank you
It was a spur of the moment thing,
and that is my explanation for the errors D;
(Typed up at around 10:00 at night >w<)
I have been considering that format also,
it seems like a good idea,
and I think I will start using it,
thanks so much for your input ^w^

You are very welcome. :)

As a writer myself, I can easily understand making mistakes throughout ones work, especially if one is writing very quickly and also when tired. Man, the typos I've made over the years, especially when one has over 1,600 pages written in one story arch. ^_^;

Oh dear,
I can certainly see how that could be problematic >w<
Thank goodness for spell check x3

Indeed, indeed. :nod: But even Spellcheck can't detect some errors, like this:

"You would rather have all your fathers shaved off with a lawnmower than have to take a bath!" When "fathers" should be "feathers".
